Abiding Hope is proud to partner with these future counselors in their journey to become fully licensed. These students are supervised by the Clinical Director and provide the same level of professionalism and ethical services as all who are part of Abiding Hope.

Bonnie
Hello, my name is Bonnie, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate student at Abilene Christian University. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Texas Lutheran University, where my passion for understanding people, relationships, and the stories that shape us first began to take root.
I believe counseling is both hard and holy work, a sacred space where healing, honesty, and hope can grow. As a therapist-in-training, I am committed to walking alongside individuals, couples, and families with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for the journeys they bring into the room. My approach is shaped by my Christian faith and a belief that God meets us tenderly in our struggles, offering restoration, courage, and new beginnings.
I am especially passionate about helping clients navigate relational challenges, communication breakdowns, seasons of stress or transition, and the quiet wounds we carry from past experiences. I strive to create a safe, grace-filled environment where you can explore your story without judgment and discover the tools, insights, and support needed to move toward wholeness.
It is an honor to join clients in their moments of growth, big and small, and to hold space for the sacred work of healing. I look forward to partnering with you as you pursue transformation, restoration, and deeper connection in your life and relationships.

Maggie
Hello, my name is Maggie Lopez. I am currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University, building on my Bachelor’s degree from UT-RGV. My background in education, healthcare and community advocacy has shaped the way I show up for clients, with steadiness, compassion and deep respect for each person’s story.
I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT and trauma informed practices along with a Christian informed lens that honors every client’s strength, cultural identity and personal values. My goal is to help individuals build coping skills, deepen self-understanding and reconnect with their God-given strengths.
As a bilingual (English-Spanish) intern, I am passionate about serving diverse communities, and it is a true honor to walk alongside my clients as they navigate life’s challenges. My faith reminds me that every person carries God-given worth and resilience. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where my clients feel seen, supported and empowered to grow at their own pace.

Victoria
Hello, my name is Victoria Sevastos. I hold an undergraduate degree in psychology, and I am
working towards my graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at UT San Antonio. I
believe in a holistic approach to healing and viewing the individual through a systemic lens. I
understand the everyday struggles we face as we navigate the challenges that life may throw at
us, and my approach is person-centered and evidence based. In addition, I believe creativity is a
valuable journey to healing, and I would be honored to walk that path with you. Together, we
can identify your strengths, resiliencies, and growth to overcome life’s obstacles, and explore the
revitalization that faith bestows upon us.
Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will
strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"
