Kami
Hi my name is Kami Prochnow. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am currently enrolled in UTSA’s graduate program for clinical mental health counseling. I am excited and honored to be a part of empowering you to be all God created you to be. Through the skills I have learned in my program, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, I am excited to embark on this journey with you towards healing, growth, and change that will put you on the path to a more fulfilling life. I hope to help equip you with the skills, understanding, and coping strategies to enable you to navigate life and all its twists and turns. I believe counseling should incorporate a holistic approach to include all aspects of an individual such as emotional, spiritual, physical, as well as their thoughts processes. Counseling is a collaborative effort. We will identify your goals and work together on strategies to accomplish them. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you on your journey!

Melanie
Hello, my name is Melanie Wagner. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with honors and high distinction from the University of Nebraska and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
My approach to counseling is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which emphasizes the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also incorporate a person-centered lens, believing that true healing begins in a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued. I view each individual as uniquely created by God, and it is an honor to walk alongside them in their healing process.
My heart for counseling is rooted in my Christian faith. I believe in the transformative power of grace, compassion, and truth—principles modeled by Christ. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, or a difficult life transition, I hope to provide a space of warmth and safety, where hope can be restored and lasting change can begin. It is my prayer that through this journey, you not only find healing, but also a deeper understanding of your identity, purpose, and the unfailing love of God.

Abbey
Hello, my name is Abbey Taber. I hold a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama which laid the foundation for my theological understanding and pastoral care experience. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s in clinical mental health counseling at Lamar University, where I am developing clinical skills rooted in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and person-centered approaches.
As a counselor, I am deeply committed to helping individuals, couples, and families pursue healing and growth through a holistic approach that honors both clinical wisdom and spiritual truth. I believe that true transformation happens when we attend to the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and I consider it a sacred privilege to walk with clients through anxiety, grief, relational challenges, identity struggles, and seasons of spiritual doubt or renewal.
With a heart for those navigating life’s twists and turns, I strive to provide a safe, grace-filled environment where clients can explore their stories, deepen their faith, and discover hope for the journey ahead. My counseling is shaped by a commitment to Christ, a belief in the power of transformation, and a deep respect for each client’s unique path.
