Carolyn Smith

Carolyn Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in Counseling w/emphasis in Addiction, Chemical Dependency, & Substance Abuse from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Carolyn is currently seeking a graduate degree in Counseling w/emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and joined the Abiding Hope Christian Counseling family in August 2021. As a student counselor, Carolyn will be working under the supervision of Christina Ashby, Clinical Director, LCSW. Carolyn's goal is to work with the troubled youth population and women recovering from substance use, Carolyn hopes to instill that God loves all despite our decisions and actions.
Ally Walthall

Ally is currently seeking a graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Houston Baptist University in Houston, TX. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Counseling from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. She has over ten years of experience working with children and families in the system and have a passion for helping others live their full potential. My goal in counseling is to demonstrate the transcendent reality of God, who objectively makes human lives more meaningful, authentic, and free. Real healing occurs when we accept others as they are, meet them where they are, and have the self-awareness to be there for them in their journey. As a student counselor, Ally will be working under the supervision of Christina Ashby, Clinical Director, LCSW.
Chrisandra Acker-Brown

Chrisandra Acker-Brown holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from American Military University in Charles Town, WV. She is a veteran of the United States Air Force, she has completed 30 hours of Biblical Counseling Training with the Biblical Counseling and Coaching Institute, and serves as the Women's Events Coordinator at her church home . She is currently working to complete her graduate degree in counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. Chrisandra has a fervor for sharing God's love and seeing others work to reach their full potential. Jeremiah 29:11 states,"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." She joined the Abiding Hope Christian Counseling family in May 2022 and is supervised by Christina Ashby, LCSW. Her goal is to come alongside you, share God's love and help you work to be the best version of who God created you to be in life.
Michelle Vignon

Michelle Vignon holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a master’s degree in Science from Purdue University with an emphasis in Gifted and High Ability. Her experience has provided her with over seventeen years of teaching experience, nine as a gifted specialist. Michelle is currently seeking a graduate degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University in Irvine, California, the Townsend Institute, directed by John Townsend. She joined the Abiding Hope Christian Counseling Family in January 2022. As a student counselor, Michelle will be serving under the supervision of Christina Ashby, LCSW. Michelle’s goal is to work with the gifted and those who have experienced trauma and to show her clients the love of Christ by meeting people where they are at.
Christian Dominguez

Christian Dominguez earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is currently working to achieve her graduate degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health from The Townsend Institute of Concordia University Irvine in Irvine, CA. It is a CACREP accredited program, meaning it upholds the highest standards in the counseling profession. Christian has invested over a decade in recovery ministries, leading/co-leading groups. She has a passion for holistic health and to see people set free from destructive patterns or anything holding one back from living their best life. Christian joined the Abiding Hope Christian Counseling family in January 2022. As a student, she is under the supervision of Christina Ashby, LCSW. Christian believes that being made in the image of God means that each person has a profound wisdom within to grow and heal. Her goal is to journey with you to discover and experience the love and abundance that God offers.
Tanja Jane

Tanja Jane holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University Fullerton in Fullerton, California. Tanja is currently seeking a graduate degree from The University of Texas, Arlington and joined the Abiding Hope Christian Counseling family in 2021. As a student counselor Tanja will be working under the supervision of Christina Ashby, LCSW. Tanja’s goal is to lift others up and help show them how amazing life can be while walking with God.
Genesis Wallace

Genesis Wallace holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Wesleyan University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Genesis is currently seeking a graduate degree from Baylor University and joined the Abiding Hope Christian Counseling family in 2022. As a student counselor Genesis will be working under the supervision of Christina Ashby, Clinical Director, LCSW. Genesis' goal in counseling is to display the love of Christ through engaging in empathetic and sincere healing work with clients.
