As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am passionate about my counseling with children, adolescents and their families. I am also a Christian counselor which means I use God and faith to help you heal, progress, and find inner peace. In my
work with children and adolescents I believe in focusing on the parent-child relationship and helping families grow and heal together. During therapy, I utilize a combination of approaches and techniques that all revolve around a person-centered
approach that encourages clients to make healthy choices that can positively change and impact their lives.
I am currently working towards becoming a Daring Way certified facilitator, which I incorporate Brene Brown’s work into my counseling sessions. One of the main focuses in Brene’s work is identifying and living in one’s values. My values are faith,
family, and connection. I believe in connecting with my clients and helping them connect with the Holy Spirit. My goal in counseling is to help families identify their values and priorities, and spiritually connect with one another through Christ.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, depression, family conflict, and trauma. I received my Master of Education in Counseling from Tarleton
State University and I am a certified Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapist. My husband and I have a four-year-old son, I have learned that parenting can be more complicated and stressful than expected and sometimes we need to seek help from a professional. My desire is to glorify God and to be an instrument to accomplish His will in people’s lives.
