Christina Haskell - LMFT Associate - Supervised by Janet Harrison LPC-S, LMFT-S

Christina Haskell comes from a large, close-knit family with a strong religious upbringing right here in San Antonio. She is married to a first responder and a mother to a blended family. She graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Bachelors in Psychology and Christian Leadership. She then graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her focus was on trauma.

Christina has done work, and training, with the Regional Critical Incident Stress Management Team as well as trauma support groups for churches in the city. It is through her personal experience with trauma that she found God's path for her. She believes that the joy God has given her in her own recovery journey has led her to want to bring that healing to others. Christina's marriage to a first responder has given her the inside knowledge of what they experience on and off duty every day.

Christina has seen how the validation, processing, and healing of traumatic events for individuals, and couples, are so necessary for their healing journey. All individuals come into relationships with their own past and experiences that shape their views and expectations. Christina desires to help couples and individuals sift through these views that have shaped the way they see their world and help them have healthy relationships with themselves and others around them.

Christina's life experiences, her time in the first responder community along with her education in trauma has given her the desire to help those who are having normal reactions to abnormal situations. She has a passion for working with couples with a desire to not only place the couples standing side by side but back to back (Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12). This passion, her own experience, and her strong faith in God have given Christina the solid foundation on which she started her journey into marriage and family therapy. She truly cares about helping those who are hurting and she looks forward to helping you, too.
